What I keep, and what I never do
You tell me things you might not tell your manager. Here’s what I remember, who else can see it, and how you stay in control.
What I do, and what I never do
What I do
- Remember what matters, like your role, your pay and your notice period, so I can actually help.
- Show you everything I know about you, in one place.
- Forget anything in “What Zia knows” when you ask.
- Tell you when I’m not sure.
- Give you ranges, not promises.
What I never do
- Share our conversations with your current employer.
- Sell your data or show you ads.
- Record calls without asking you first.
- Message you at night (outside 07:00–22:00), or send more than 3 WhatsApp messages a day you didn’t ask for.
- Keep contacting you after you say stop.
Who can see what you tell me
Most of what you tell me stays with me. Here’s who else sees anything, and when. The full list is in the privacy policy.
Only you
Your career conversations outside an open EmployLabs role: the salary question, the offer you’re unsure about, the bad week at work. Recruiters don’t see them, and your current employer never sees any of our conversations.
An EmployLabs recruiter
From the moment an EmployLabs recruiter reaches out to you about a role (or you apply to one) until that role is decided, that recruiting team can see what you and I talk about in that time, on any channel, plus your application, any assessment and the outcome. Your career profile is also used to match you to roles.
Service providers
The companies that run the service for us: AI models, speech, messaging and hosting. They get what they need to do their job, under contract.
You stay in control
See & correct
“What Zia knows” on your profile shows what I remember. Fix anything that’s wrong.
Open your profileForget
Tell me to forget something, or remove it from “What Zia knows”. I stop using it.
Export
Download your conversations, memories and profile from Settings.
Delete
Delete your account from Settings. I keep your number and opt-outs so I never contact you again, plus records of our conversations, your work and application history, and anything already shared with EmployLabs recruiting.
Channels & STOP
Switch off WhatsApp, calls or email one by one in Settings. Reply STOP on WhatsApp and I stop getting in touch first and messaging you there. “Stop all contact” in Settings stops everything and tells EmployLabs too.
When things get hard
What happens to your messages
I’m an AI. My replies are written by large language models from other companies, reached through OpenRouter. Speech-to-text and text-to-speech providers turn our calls into words and my words into a voice.
- Your messages are sent to these providers so they can produce my replies.
- EmployLabs doesn’t train its own AI models on your conversations.
- I use AI to pull facts like your role and notice period out of our chats, so I remember them.
Common questions
Does my employer see this?
No. I never share anything with your current employer. The one exception to private conversations is EmployLabs roles: from the moment an EmployLabs recruiter reaches out to you about a role (or you apply to one) until that role is decided, that role’s recruiting team sees your application and what you and I talk about in that time, on any channel. Outside that window, your conversations aren’t shared with recruiters.
Do you record calls?
No. On a call your voice is turned into a transcript as you speak, and I keep the transcript, not the audio.
Is my data used to train AI?
EmployLabs doesn’t train its own models on your conversations. The AI providers that write my replies do process your messages to generate them.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings and delete your account. That removes your login, name, email, résumé files and the profile built from them, and hides your memories. I keep your phone number and opt-outs so I never contact you again, records of our conversations (full transcripts are cleared after 90 days once summarised), text extracted from documents you sent, the work profile built from our calls, and your outreach, call and application history. Anything already shared with EmployLabs recruiting stays under its records. If your account was re-created recently, there’s a 7-day wait before it can be deleted again.
Who is EmployLabs?
EmployLabs is the AI recruiting company that built me. It fills open roles for employers. The roles I show you are EmployLabs roles, plus public job postings I find for you.
