What you’ll do
- Develop and execute the regional business strategy aligned with SHRM India's growth objectives
- Drive acquisition of new individual and corporate memberships
- Achieve regional revenue targets across memberships, certifications, events, learning solutions, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships
- Identify new market opportunities and build a strong sales pipeline
- Manage the complete sales lifecycle from prospecting to closure
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with CHROs, HR leaders, L&D professionals, and business decision-makers
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for key enterprise and strategic accounts

What success looks like
- First 30 days
- Complete onboarding on SHRM India's membership products, certifications, and learning solutions. Map key accounts and existing relationships across North India. Begin outreach to top-tier prospects and partners.
- By 90 days
- Deliver a regional business plan with pipeline and revenue forecasts. Establish relationships with at least 10-15 CHROs and HR leaders. Close first enterprise membership or partnership deals.
- First year
- Achieve regional revenue and membership acquisition targets. Build a self-sustaining pipeline and a network of engaged corporate members. Establish SHRM India as a visible thought leader in the North India HR ecosystem.

Position summary
The Regional Manager – North will be responsible for driving SHRM India's growth and market presence across the North region by expanding membership, strengthening strategic relationships with organizations, enhancing member engagement, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. The role requires a consultative business development approach, deep understanding of the HR ecosystem, and the ability to collaborate across internal teams to achieve regional business objectives.
Key responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Growth
Develop and execute the regional business strategy aligned with SHRM India's growth objectives.
Drive acquisition of new individual and corporate memberships.
Achieve regional revenue targets across memberships, certifications, events, learning solutions, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships.
Identify new market opportunities and build a strong sales pipeline.
Manage the complete sales lifecycle from prospecting to closure.
Relationship Management
Build and nurture long-term relationships with CHROs, HR leaders, L&D professionals, and business decision-makers.
Serve as the primary relationship manager for key enterprise and strategic accounts.
Ensure high levels of member satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
Conduct regular business reviews with corporate members and partners.
Membership Growth & Engagement
Increase membership penetration across assigned territories.
Develop initiatives to improve member engagement, renewal, and advocacy.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver value-added member experiences.
Promote SHRM certifications, research, learning programs, and thought leadership offerings.
Market Development
Represent SHRM India at conferences, industry forums, networking events, and partner engagements.
Build relationships with HR communities, industry associations, educational institutions, and ecosystem partners.
Gather market intelligence, competitor insights, and customer feedback to support business strategy.
Regional Leadership
Develop annual regional business plans with measurable KPIs.
Forecast sales and maintain accurate pipeline management through CRM.
Monitor regional performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
Collaborate closely with marketing, member experience, events, certification, learning, and operations teams.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Partner with marketing on regional campaigns and lead generation initiatives.
Support successful execution of regional conferences, roundtables, webinars, and executive forums.
Coordinate with customer success teams to ensure seamless onboarding and member support.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related discipline.
MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
SHRM certification (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) is an advantage.
Experience
8–12 years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, membership growth, or account management.
Experience working with HR solutions, professional associations, learning organizations, consulting firms, or B2B services is highly desirable.
Proven experience managing enterprise clients and achieving revenue targets.
Strong network within the HR community across North India is preferred.
